Please join me and food stylist to the stars, Cindy Epstein in April of 2016 for an intensive culinary photographic experience. I’ll be leading this spectacular photography tour and workshops through the pristine Temecula Valley which is home to over forty wineries and ten microbreweries. The photographic component of this trip will include workshops highlighting natural and studio lighting, food styling and propping, compositional technique skill building and more. I will provide both individual and group critiques and offer assistance in both the studio and the field. I’ll be stressing the three main ingredients of successful food photography: lighting, composition and content. Food stylist, Cindy Epstein has worked with hundreds of clients including Martha Stewart, Coco Cola, The Food Network, and many others and has brought many cookbooks to life with her creative flair.
What makes this food photography tour and workshops special is the breadth of unique experiences offered. There will be two workshops at my Home Studio as well as numerous shoots on location. An early morning hot air balloon ride over the verdant wineries of Temecula Valley followed by a gourmet “farm to table” breakfast at Sofia’s Garden Market Farm House, is sure to be a memorable experience. We will be hosted at E.A.T. Market Place, in Old Town Temecula, where I will be mentoring us for a hands on food photography experience. A special “Wine Aroma Table “ experience, a flight of beers at Karl Strauss, a New Orleans themed dinner and a 4 course tequila pairing gourmet Mexican dinner…. and of course, wine tastings around the Temecula Wine Country. The group will also take a sunset dinner cruise on San Diego Bay. I will provide hands on food photography instruction and Cindy will share her food styling techniques.
Our accommodations during this stay will be at the highly rated, The Inn at Europa Village. This bed and breakfast is full of charm and California ambiance. Transportation throughout the week will be provided by a comfortable Mercedes Benz coach.
